1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how the Community Watch Forum of Liberia ("CWFL", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information through this website, our membership database and our identity verification system.

2. Information we collect

Membership and application data: name, gender, date of birth, contact details, address, community/district/county, occupation, passport photo, optional supporting documents and emergency contact information.

Website enquiries: name, contact details and the content of messages sent through our contact and volunteer forms.

Technical data: server logs including IP addresses and timestamps, used for security monitoring and abuse prevention.

3. How we use information

To process membership applications and maintain an accurate national membership register.

To issue membership identification, including QR codes that allow the public to verify a member's status.

To communicate with members, applicants, volunteers and enquirers.

To protect the security and integrity of our systems, including audit logging of administrative actions.

4. Public verification page

When a member's QR code or membership ID is used on our verification page, we display limited information necessary to confirm identity: photo, name, membership ID, position, community, district, county, registration and expiration dates, and validation status. By registering as a member you consent to this limited public display. No contact details, date of birth or address are shown publicly.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Member verification data may be confirmed to government ministries, security institutions and partners through the public verification page. We may disclose information where required by Liberian law or lawful authority.

6. Security & retention

Access to the membership database is restricted by role and geographic responsibility, protected by authenticated sessions, and recorded in audit logs. Records are retained while membership remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards for accountability purposes.

7. Your rights

You may request a copy of your information, correction of inaccuracies, or removal from the register (subject to accountability requirements) by contacting the national secretariat at cwfliberia2010@yahoo.com or 0770-800-016.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page.
